"Vote using MISSED call "--- It is Amazing

Vote via SMS is the most commonly used voting system these days. From reality shows to surveys & contests everywhere it’s been used. But, Most of us have voted using this system since it uses 5 or 6 digit short code which  service provider will charge around 5 to 6 Re per SMS. Because of this pricing, participation in voting becomes very less.

Have you ever thought of voting using "MISSED CALL" Here is new concept using missed call.
“Missed Call” technique, ZipDial has come up with a “Missed Call to Vote” system! Visit http://www.zipdial.com/zipdial/
For Ex:

Q: Should Meg Whitman become Governor of California?

If YES, give a missed call to +91 40 44 55 69 30
If No, give a missed call to +91 40 44 55 69 31

All you are doing here is giving a missed call, so you will not be charged anything to vote! And this system is so simple, you don’t have to remember “Send XX to YYYYY”

and bleh bleh to vote! It is just different numbers to dial for different options.
Recently they have plans to open ZipDial for public where anyone can create a poll. They have just started, I wish everyone including TV channels start using this system. Visit ZipDial & start voting for polls & win some gifts.

How to create WindowsXP Live CD.

Microsoft Windows XP live CD  is the best way to boot into the Operating System without installation into the computer. By using this XP Live CD you can use XP and its features without actually installing them. This sounds cool, right? Creating a Live CD is not a big problem. It just involves adding of some plugins. One of the easiest ways to do this is using a software called pebuilder. Using it, you can create an XP Live CD in just about 15 minutes!
Here’s all the software you’ll need:

Step 1: Download PeBuilder from here and install it. Make sure you have enough free space on the drive where you install the program. After you have finished adding all programs it will create an ISO to be burned into a disk. The size of the ISO will depend upon how many programs you add to your live CD. I would recommend atleast 700MB of free space.

Disable Autorun for Drives to prevent from Virus

Method 1
Autoplay play feature is not only available in CD drives, but also on the flash drives and external hard drives that you connect to your PC. In any case your external drives or CDs are infected with virus or malwares, then chances are there that your PC could also be infected with the autoplay feature. Best way to combat this issue is to disable autoplay on all your system drives.

To disable autoplay on all drives, best method is to change it through Group Policy Editor. To do this click run and type gpedit.msc and press enter. Navigate to Local Computer Policy-> Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates-> System. Now on the right panel double click Turn off Autoplay.  Now select enabled and choose All drives from the dropdown list and click ok.

Method 2

You can either copy the three lines below from this web page .The file name is not important, other than it should end with ".reg". Copy this code below it and save on to notepad with extension ".reg".
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf]
@="@SYS:DoesNotExist"
Note that there are three lines in the file, the middle line may wrap when displayed by a web browser, but it needs to be a single line in the .reg file.

Once you have a dot reg file on your computer, just double click on it.
On a Windows XP computer, you'll see the following warning before the registry zap is actually made ...

What is USSD ? (Unstructured Supplementary Services Data)

Have you ever checked your mobile balance or activated some service using such code like *121# or *111# or *777# ? Did you ever thought what is these service called. These are called USSD

Unstructured Supplementary Services Data (USSD) allows for the transmission of information via a GSM network. Contrasting with SMS, it offers real time connection during a session. A USSD message can be upto 182 alphanumeric characters in length. Unstructured Supplementary Service Data allows interactive services between a MS and applications hosted by the Mobile Operator. These messages are composed of digits and the #, * keys, and allow users to easily and quickly get information/access services from the Operator.
USSD messages are simple to form and easy to send. User can directly enter the ussd string and press call to send the message. A typical USSD message starts with a * followed by digits which indicate an action to be performed or are parameters. Each group of numbers is separated by a *, and the message is terminated with a #. The USSD gateway in turn can interact with external applications based on the USSD command. This allows access to number of value added services via USSD.
USSD is a session oriented service, and can support a sequence of exchange of information. Phase 2 USSD also allows messages to be pushed onto a MS. It is several times faster than MO SMS messages since there is no store and forward of messages. The USSD gateway supports an open HTTP interface.
The USSD gateway will have an interface with the MSC over SS7. It uses MAP to receive and send USSD data from the HLR.
Generally the USSD functionality is implemented in the following modes:
  • Pull Mode, will handle Mobile Initiated USSD Requests.
  • Push Mode will handle network Initiated USSD Requests.

About 3G Mobile Phones

3G Mobile Phones
The third-generation mobile phone network is billed as a giant leap forward for mobile phone technology, with more services and features on offer than ever before. Handsets are now portable multimedia messaging and playback devices that can send and receive e-mail, grab content from the Internet without waiting and have personalised information and entertainment services delivered right to the hand, ear and eye of the user.
There are now a number of 3G networks operating in Australia, and despite a slow uptake when the services were originally released, the growth of 3G networks is steady. Mobile companies see a big (read: lucrative) future in multimedia and Internet content for users hungry for faster, feature-rich mobile services ― so expect to see more and more services and competitive pricing bundles as we move forward.
Techs & Specs
The 3G mobile phone network uses a different frequency band than its predecessors to deliver increased data transfer rates. The 3G network uses the 2100MHz frequency, while the existing 2G network operates at the 900MHz frequency band (GSM) and 800MHz (CDMA). This high-speed data capacity enables more content to be sent to and from mobile handsets through calls, messaging and Internet-based content. For example, 3G phones can be used for video phone calls, video message bank, Internet and e-mail, real-time interactive gaming and media streaming, such as news, weather and dedicated TV shows.
