Unblock Websites Blocked by Recent Delhi High Court Order

The Delhi High Court ordered the blocking of 219 websites which could be used to stream Fifa World Cup matches illegally. Order was passed on the basis of  Sony  who  owned Multi Screen Media (MSM), which has exclusive rights to broadcast the Fifa World Cup 2014 in India.

The original list of 472 websites to be blocked included some strange entries like Google Docs, but the order was then amended and the list brought down to 219; however, there are still some website which has nothing to do with World Cup

Let have a Trick to Unblock these website using DNS change

Change the DNS

If the URL change doesn't work, then you might want to try changing the domain name server to Google DNS or OpenDNS. Most people have reported that this method works on BSNL for them. I am going to describe the step by step for diffrent device. If you are quite smart and techi you can also change your DNS setting of MODEM also so that you need to change it on every device.

For Windows Vista, 7 or 8 users

1) For Windows Vista and 7,
click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

If you're using Windows 8, hit Windows key + C > click Search on the right-hand side > type Control Panel in the search bar > select Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

2) Click Change adapter settings, which is on the left sidebar.

3) Right-click the Internet connection on which you're having trouble accessing websites, and click Properties.

4) Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.

5) Click the radio button next to Use the following DNS Server addresses. If you want to use Google DNS, enter 8.8.8.8 as the Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 as the Alternate DNS Server. If you want to use OpenDNS, use 202.67.220.220 and 202.67.222.222 respectively. After entering these, click OK.

For Windows XP user.

1) Click Start > Control Panel > Network Connections.

2) Now select your specific Internet connection with access problems, right-click, then select Properties.

3) Left-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and select Properties.

4) Follow the instructions in Step 5 above.

Apple  iOS device that's connected to a Wi-Fi network.

1) Open Settings > tap Wi-Fi > tap the Wi-Fi network the device is connected to.

2) Tap DNS and change the two values to Google DNS or Open DNS (explained in step 5 above). These two values should be separated with a comma and one space (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4).

For Android users

1) Open Settings > tap Wi-Fi.

2) Long press the Wi-Fi network you're connected to > tap Modify Network.

3) Now tap the box next to Show advanced options. Scroll down.

4) Tap DHCP > select Static IP > scroll down and modify DNS 1 and DNS 2 (as explained in step 5 above).

On BlackBerry 10

1) Settings > Network and Connections > tap Wi-Fi. Now connect to a Wi-Fi network.

2) Long-press the connection you're connected to > tap Edit.

3) Scroll down and turn off Auto Obtain IP. After you do this, you'll see more options, such as the IP address, DNS and gateway. Switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS here (as explained in step 5 above).

Unfortunately, Windows Phone 8 doesn't support changing DNS manually.

Try a Proxy
If changing the DNS does not work, you should try a Web proxy to open blocked websites. These websites simply route you through servers based in other countries, which means that you can access websites that aren't blocked in those countries.

Kproxy,Hidemyass and NewIPNow are  such websites. Just enter the name of the blocked website in the form and click enter. On the Hidemyass website, the free proxy is at the very bottom of the page, .

Beware of your Posting on Social Networking site,Goverment is using Internet surveillance system :NETRA

The government is going to  launch 'Netra', the defence ministry's internet spy system that will be capable of detecting words like 'attack', 'bomb', 'blast' or 'kill' in a matter of seconds from reams of tweets, status updates, emails, instant messaging transcripts, internet calls, blogs and forums. The 'Netra' internet surveillance system has been developed by Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR), a lab under Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).

The system is capable  to capture any dubious voice traffic passing through software such as Skype or Google Talk, says a telecom department. "Intelligence Bureau and Cabinet Secretariat are currently testing 'Netra', which will be deployed by all national security agencies," the note says. "The specifications of the 'Netra' system can be taken as frozen following tests by the Intelligence Bureau and Cabinet Secretariat, and can be considered for providing multiple user access to security agencies,"
The 'Netra' deployment strategy was recently discussed by an apex inter-ministerial group headed by DoT's member (technology) and included top officials of the Cabinet Secretariat, home ministry, DRDO, CAIR, Intelligence Bureau, C-DoT and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). The panel also deliberated on ways to respond to computer security incidents, track system vulnerabilities and promote effective IT security practices across the country.

It was also decided that 300 GB of storage space for intercepted internet traffic would be given to a maximum three security agencies, including the IB and Cabinet Secretariat, while an extra 100 GB would be assigned to the remaining law enforcement agencies, the minutes of the inter-ministerial panel meeting showed. Deployment of 'Netra' by security agencies is slated to pave the way for a national internet scanning & coordination centre, which India plans to establish along the lines of existing facilities in the UK, US, China and Iran.

First webpage on Internet get revised on occasion of 20th Internet Annivarsary

Two decades ago today, the European particle accelerator called CERN gave birth to what's known as the open Web -- a technology that anyone can build without paying licensing or fees.

The challenge is most clear in the area of video, where patents and copy protection are at odds with the Web's openness.

Tim Berners-Lee, a physicist at CERN, started developing what he called the World Wide Web in 1989. After CERN released the software for free on April 30, 1993, the Web spread like wildfire to become a global publishing medium.
Father of Internet-Tim Berners-Lee with his First webpage

On Tuesday,30April 2013 CERN republished the world's first Web site as part of a project to reconstruct its earliest Web content and spotlight its move toward openness on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Internet

Source Code of First Webpage

The first URL was "http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html." For years, however, it has redirected to the CERN website's Web host root. But using the archive hosted on the W3C site, CERN put the files back online and recreated a 1992 version of the very first website.

What users should know about new internet protocols IPv6

Many web surfers don't know it, but the introduction of new internet address standards might change the way they get online.
Since the supply of usable addresses governed by the IPv4 standard (internet protocol, version 4) has been exhausted, IPv6 has now been introduced. This will allow a previously impossible variety of addresses, says Christoph Meinel, a professor at Germany's Hasso Plattner Institute.
But what does this change mean for everyday surfers? Here's an overview.
Why are IP addresses necessary?
In order for internet-capable devices to share information, they need a unique machine-readable address. These addresses are assigned based on a standard of internet protocols.
But, since humans have a hard time remembering these strings of numbers, websites are also labelled with domain names, like www.google.com. When these addresses are typed into browsers, special servers translate them into IP addresses for the benefit of the computers.
What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?
Until now, IP addresses have been assigned in blocks of four numbers with up to three numerals each: 217.79.215.248, for example. The new IPv6 standard won't convert the numbers into the decimal system, rather a hexadecimal system, recognized by its combination of numbers and letters.
The new standard can be recognized by its eight blocks, separated by colons - 2001:db8:0:0:0:0:1428:57ab, for example.

They do this better than anyone else by providing you with a reliable service that makes you accessible to your customers around the globe. Your call forwarding settings can be changed by you instantly depending on your needs. You can forward incoming calls to your existing call center or office anywhere in the world. Your new phone number can ring to several locations in different countries. For example, your new phone number can be forwarded to your reservation center in England and your customer service center in France. Let's say you add a new office in Belgium and want to forward calls there; you can. Your calls can be forwarded wherever they need to go.

You can control where calls are forwarded during specified times of the day and days of the week. This system lets you forward calls to your call center while it's open, to your office during business hours, and then to VoiceMail2MyEmailSM at night. If you have staff working at different times in multiple locations, you can arrange to forward calls to different places at different times. For example, you can forward calls to your sales associate in Beijing during business hours there, and forward calls to your associate in Buenos Aires during business hours there. Call centers know this as "Follow The Sun" call routing. Calls can be forwarded to the call center that is open during local business hours. You can also send calls directly to VoiceMail2MyEmailSM on weekends.
When was the last time you called overseas to reach a business? The simple truth is most people don't know how to call internationally, and even if they do, they wouldn't go through the hassle. Having a locally-recognized number makes international customers more likely to call your business. Your new phone number instantly broadens your market, increasing revenue potential and improving customer satisfaction.
Call forwarding lets you have a phone number wherever your customers are, and to send those calls wherever you or your representatives are. With call forwarding, customers can call you as if you were across the street, even if you're across the globe.

Internet IP addresses will run out 'in the next 24 hours

Growth of Internet-enabled phones like the iPhone and web use in Asia has seen a rapid depletion of IP addresses, which are going to run out in the next 24 hours.
Every device, which connects to the Internet, is assigned a "number" but with millions of web enabled phones now online they are fast running out.
IP addresses act as "phone numbers" to ensure that surfers reach websites and e-mails find their destination.
The system, which had been set up in the 1980s, with a maximum of 4.1 billion addresses was supposed to never run out.
But it does not mean the Internet will come to a halt once the addresses have finished, as a system called Internet Protocol version 6, or IPv6 has been created to replace version 4.
"It will just be 'business as usual' if everyone gets their job done," the Daily Mail quoted John Curran, Chief Executive of the American Registry for Internet Numbers, one of five regional groups that dole out such addresses, as saying.
Curran said only about 2 percent of websites support the new Internet Protocol version 6.
The "end game", the distribution of the last five blocks, was triggered by the distribution of two of the last seven blocks on February 1.
They went to the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre, the regional registry for East Asia (including India), Australia and the Pacific islands. (ANI)

China launches Google rival: www.goso.cn

After taming Google into submission, China has launched a new search engine of its own to make foray into its 420 million strong net users' market, a move believed to be aimed at taking firm control of the web media.
Known as 'Goso.cn', China's very own search engine has been launched by the country's largest newspaper the 'People's Daily', which is the official daily of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC).

The state-run media already holds sway over the country where the flow of information is tightly controlled, and the move to introduce its own search engine signifies its aim to take control of the web media as well.
The move came as blog news is catching up fast posing a direct challenge to the hold of official media in the country.

Google was involved in a face-off with the Chinese government in March this year after it shut down its Chinese search engine and re-routed mainland users to its uncensored site in Hong Kong, protesting cyber attacks.

Google, which resisted attempts of censorship for many months later gave in and got its license to operate in China renewed only after it agreed to abide by all restrictions.

Months later, the country's largest newspaper has launched a news search engine which came after six months of trial operations, state-run English dailies the China Daily and Global Times reported.

The launch of the "People Search Engine" is part of authorities' efforts to enhance the CPC international communication capacity, Zhang Yannong, president of People's Daily, said.

Given the fact that most of the rules and regulations of the information industry were set by foreign companies, and that several countries view development of the Internet as part of their national strategies, China must develop a search engine with independent technology, thus creating a good Internet environment for 420 million, China Daily quoted a "netizen" Zhang as saying.
"The search engine is an Internet tool that obviously has ideological characteristics," he said. Deng Yaping, general manager of Goso Network Limited, said Goso.cn is a vertical search engine product that integrates news, news forums, pictures, blogs, videos and micro blogs.
Since its renewal, Google operated on a low profile in China and Google Earth Maps did not even take part in the bidding, leaving the floor open to mostly local competitors.
China has already launched its own version of earth maps which showed Arunachal Pradesh as part of southern Tibet.
Goso.cn is expected to go after local search engine Baidu.com, which expanded it operations taking full advantage of Google's problems.
