BSNL launched chepeast 3G phone in just ₹ 1799 :Bharatphone


Telecom services provider BSNL launched an internet ready phone for Rs 1,799 with model PF300 and two smartphones costing between ₹ 6,999 (PS501) and Rs 8,000(PS650) in association with Pantel Technologies
The phone is termed as BharatPhone, the ₹ 1,799 costing dual-SIM handset with a 3-inch display screen will be marketed as a internet-ready feature phone with the ability to access e-governance services like mobile banking, tele-medical care delivery and streaming data delivery. An 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that delivers upto 8 hrs of talk time and 15 days standby time. The handset targeted at rural India will come bundled with 1200 minutes of free talk time split over 12 months.

Bharatphone has  a 3-inch display with JAVA enabled feature phone with 1.3 Mega Pixel rear Camera; Bluetooth; 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that delivers upto 8 hrs of talk time and 15 days standby time.

It comes with SMS scheduler; multimedia gaming and mobile tracker.Apart from other facility it allows with internet browsing facilities including Email, Facebook, downloading of music and videos, and Java games

Products like the Penta Bharat Phone will now offer the Indian consumer the power of Internet access at an affordable price.


BSNL has also launched  smartphone range starts from ₹ 6,999 with PS501 that comes with 15 GB cloud storage and 4GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel panoramic rear camera, GPS and gesture motion texting with  5-inch display and comes with 3 GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time.

The second smartphone PS650 costs ₹ 7,999 comes with a 6.5 inch screen with a 2500 mAh battery supporting 100 hrs standby time and hosts of applications that ru on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software. Features like gesture typing; speech to text, quick navigation screen, voice based search is available.This smartphone is bundled with 3 GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time.

Indian Postal Department started Mobile Money Transfer Service (MMTS) using Cellphone

DOP money remittance is a mobile application that enables us with immediate money transfer from one place to another place using mobile, through Indian post offices. The process for money transfer is very simple to understand and follow. For this initiative, India's oldest and largest communication service provider (CSP), BSNL will provide mobile connections to DOP’s designated officials and BSNL will bring Global technology for Mobile Money Transfer.Currently this service is available in limited state under few Post Office.to check the availablity of the service in your post office just visit http://dopmobile.in and search using your state with PIN code or Post office name.

DOP Mobile Money Transfer is a service that enables instant money transfer from one place to another place using mobile, through Indian post offices. The consumer just needs to have a mobile while the actual transmission of the money is initiated by the Postal Assistant, using his/her special handset. The process for money transfer is very simple to understand and follow. The remitter (sender) can submit money (Cash In) at any of the covered post office and automatically, the amount is transferred to a central position, which can be collected by recipient customer (Cash Out) from any of the covered Post offices. As soon as the Cash in happens, both the sender and the recipient get a SMS on their mobile phones. The sender gets a Transaction ID and a Six (6) digit secret code in the SMS while the Recipient only gets the Transaction ID. Recipient can claim the money from any of the covered Post Offices by showing the Transaction ID that he receives on his mobile in the SMS and the Secret code, which he gets from the sender. In order to make process smooth and convenient, a notification sms is being sent to remitter as well as to recipient regarding transaction irrespective of their telecom operator.

For this initiative, India's pioneer and largest communication service provider (CSP), BSNL will provide mobile connections to DOP’s designated officials and BSNL will bring Global technology for Mobile Money Transfer. Each Post office shall be provided with a mobile handset with pre loaded application by BSNL’s technology partner M/s Maverick Mobile Solutions.
   
Point to Remember

1) As soon as the recipient receives a notification sms with transaction Id and secret code from the sender, he/she can collect money at destination post office.

2) You can go to any covered post office for Cash Out. It is not necessary to go to a particular post office. All you need to have is the Transaction ID and the Secret Code

3) No limit on the number of transactions. However the minimum amount is 1,000 rupees while the maximum is 10,000 rupees.

4) The sender must inform to the Cash In postal assistant regarding this so that he/ she will resend the same.

5) The recipient must collect money within 14 days of transaction.

6)In case the recipient does not Cash Out the amount within 14 days, the amount is sent back to the sender and a ‘Cash In reversal’ SMS with new transaction-id will be sent to remitter. The remitter can withdraw money within 7 days (prescribed) after this SMS.

BSNL landline launched Video calling .Now convert PCOs to VCOs(Video Call Offices)


BSNL, in partnership with SIS Infosystems,  launched telephones with video calling facility which will primarily be used to set up public Video Call Offices by replacing many of the PCOs.

"We will convert existing Public Call Offices (PCOs) to VCOs with these phones. People will be able to make voice calls to any phone and video calls to any other IP (internet based) phone," BSNL Chairman and Managing Director R K Upadhyay told reporters here.
Accordng to him most of the revenue of BSNL comes from landline phones and this new services is one of the initiative to increase company's revenue.
There will be no need to use computers for making video calls for user of these video phones
BSNL will charge Rs 3 for 45 second video call made from VCO which will include 30 per cent commission for the franchise owner.
BSNL will provide various categories of VCO franchisees based on the services that a franchisee owners wants to provide.

Around 770 PCOs have confirmed to shift their business to VCOs and the target is to have 10,000 VCOs set-up across the country.
The service was inaugurated by Advisor to Prime Minister Sam Pitroda who stressed on the use of video phones to reach rural masses.

Free Missed Call Alert service from BSNL

BSNL is providing free missed call alert service.But there is some small manual configuration to be down.All you need to do call Divert settings and divert all your calls when out of reach to the number 17010.

Now onwards when your mobile is switched off  or out of coverage area  some body tries to call you, you will get an SMS  alert which contains detailed information about the time of call and the number of attempts the person made to call you.

Just activate this service free of cost if you are on BSNL. For more details call 1503 this will connect you to customer care of respective region from where you are making call  from your BSNL mobile.
