Features of Fonts
Unicode compliant Open Font format for Naskh script – 12 numbers
Unicode compliant Open Font format for Nastaliq script – 1 number

The font is the first contact, which the user makes with an application on his screen, and largely it is the choice and attractiveness of the font, which makes the application visually appealing. The beauty and the aesthetics of a font are closely intertwined and are dependent on the font designer. CDAC, GIST has always kept these factors in mind when designing the font, which has maximal visual appeal and readability.
A total of 12 Naskh and 1 number of Unicode 6.2 compliant fonts are being made available to the public.
Naskh : Naskh, though cursive, is linear  in nature. Each letter joins the next moving from right to left. The glyphs change shape according to the place they occupy within the word.
Strictly defined by norms laid down by tradition, the visual beauty of Naskh lies in the seamless manner in which each letter joins  the next letter to create a text which is as attractive as a visual drawing.
Nastaaliq :  Nastaaliq is one of the most complex scripts to design. Nastaaliq moves both from right to left and vertically from top to bottom with the “nukte” or dots conforming to a strict placement order.
Nastaaliq demands strict conformity with a specific grammar which has been honed and fine-tuned over the centuries.
A well-designed Nastaaliq font as is shown in the Nabeel font designed by GIST C-DAC, has both a visual appeal as well as grammatical economy and correctness:

Control Multiple Computers with Single Keyboard and Mouse

Many time there might be scenario where we have to work on multiple systems at a time. For instance, when you work on your home PC and office laptop at the same time, In that case we often get puzzled between the mouse and keyboards while switching frequently.

Mouse without borders is software comes handy which handle  these problem since it helps you control
more than one computer with a single mouse and keyboard. It even lets you share files between multiple
computers by copying your desired files and simply dragging and dropping them to the desired screen, share
clipboard text, and access multiple computers using a single mouse and keyboard.Keyboard
will work on that system only on which the mouse pointer is currently appearing.
You can connect up to 4 computers together using Mouse without Borders and use single mouse and keyboard on multiple system. It also allows you to send and receive quick screenshots, and personalize your logon screen in Windows 7 PC

One Limitation of this software is that if you are looking for a software to access PC at a remote
location, then there is no any option. It let’s you control another system, but that system has to be near your
own system so that you can view the transfer of files or access of files or applications on another system.
You can discuss on this community forum about Mouse without Borders http://aka.ms/mm
Truong Do, a Microsoft Dynamics developer in Redmond started  developing a way to control all his PC with a single keyboard and mouse.

That project became Mouse without Borders, and goes well beyond just navigation of multiple PCs. Using the software Truong has developed it’s possible to login and out of multiple Windows PCs with a single keyboard and mouse. You can also seamlessly move between up to four PCs, and best of all, file copying through drag and drop works across those machines too.It is the similar to having a single PC and four screens. All it requires is that you have a network setup as that’s the communication method
Software available to download for free. It’s a 1.1MB file which you can download from the
Microsoft IT website

Check out the video below to hear Truong talk about the software:

Beware of Hardware Key-logger in Public computer like Cybercafe

Most of time we have heard about software key logger. This software key-logger activates once Operating system starts but here is Hardware key-logger it will log every key stroke from the moment computer is turned on.Typically the memory capacity of a hardware keylogger may range from a few kilobytes to several gigabytes, with each keystroke recorded typically consuming a byte of memory. So beware of such device in public system before using sensitive data and secure web-pages like Internet banking. Here is types of Hardware key-logger.The first one is very simple it can be used with keyboard port very easily.

  1. A Regular Hardware Keylogger is used for keystroke logging by means of a hardware circuit that is attached somewhere in between the computer keyboard and the computer. It logs all keyboard activity to its internal memory which can be accessed by typing in a series of pre-defined characters. A hardware keylogger has an advantage over a software solution; because it is not dependent on the computer's operating system it will not interfere with any program running on the target machine and hence cannot be detected by any software. They are typically designed to have an innocuous appearance that blends in with the rest of the cabling or hardware, such as appearing to be an EMC Balun. They can also be installed inside a keyboard itself (as a circuit attachment or modification), or the keyboard could be manufactured with this "feature". They are designed to work with legacy PS/2 keyboards, or more recently, with USB keyboards. Some variants, known as wireless hardware keyloggers, have the ability to be controlled and monitored remotely by means of a wirelesscommmunication standard.
  2. Wireless Keylogger sniffers - Collect packets of data being transferred from a wireless keyboard and its receiver and then attempt to crack the encryption key being used to secure wireless communications between the two devices.
  3. Firmware - A computer's BIOS, which is typically responsible for handling keyboard events, can be reprogrammed so that it records keystrokes as it processes them.
  4. Keyboard overlays - a bogus keypad is placed over the real one so that any keys pressed are registered by both the eavesdropping device as well as the legitimate one that the customer is using.[
