Are you dissatified with existing LPG dealer/Company ? Just switch to another company/dealer

A customer can conveniently switch to another company's connection within 3-4 days if dissatisfied with the LPG company's dealer. The transfer can be done across dealers and companies by applying for the process online.

To switch to a new company a customer will have to visit the website of the existing oil company then the customer needs to fill in the personal details on the website like name, address and consumer number mentioned on subscription voucher (commonly known as SV papers). After this, the customer needs to feed in the existing company and dealer's name and also the new company and dealer's name in the website to apply for the transfer.

Once the application is sent online, an instant SMS alert would be sent to the existing dealer informing that his customer wants to switch to another company. All his information which he fed online would be sent across to the older dealer who would get 72 hours (3 days) to convince the customer about improving his services. If the customer still remains unconvinced, he can go to the older company and submit his SV papers.

The customer would be required to submit older equipment (cylinders and regulator) to the company and take back his security deposit amount from them. The former oil company's dealer will generate a transfer voucher (TV) to the person on the same day. This TV can be submitted to the new company's dealer and the security money can also be deposited on the same day. The company would generate a new delivery voucher and handover the equipment to the customer. [courtesy :TOI article]

Beware of your Posting on Social Networking site,Goverment is using Internet surveillance system :NETRA

The government is going to  launch 'Netra', the defence ministry's internet spy system that will be capable of detecting words like 'attack', 'bomb', 'blast' or 'kill' in a matter of seconds from reams of tweets, status updates, emails, instant messaging transcripts, internet calls, blogs and forums. The 'Netra' internet surveillance system has been developed by Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR), a lab under Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).

The system is capable  to capture any dubious voice traffic passing through software such as Skype or Google Talk, says a telecom department. "Intelligence Bureau and Cabinet Secretariat are currently testing 'Netra', which will be deployed by all national security agencies," the note says. "The specifications of the 'Netra' system can be taken as frozen following tests by the Intelligence Bureau and Cabinet Secretariat, and can be considered for providing multiple user access to security agencies,"
The 'Netra' deployment strategy was recently discussed by an apex inter-ministerial group headed by DoT's member (technology) and included top officials of the Cabinet Secretariat, home ministry, DRDO, CAIR, Intelligence Bureau, C-DoT and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). The panel also deliberated on ways to respond to computer security incidents, track system vulnerabilities and promote effective IT security practices across the country.

It was also decided that 300 GB of storage space for intercepted internet traffic would be given to a maximum three security agencies, including the IB and Cabinet Secretariat, while an extra 100 GB would be assigned to the remaining law enforcement agencies, the minutes of the inter-ministerial panel meeting showed. Deployment of 'Netra' by security agencies is slated to pave the way for a national internet scanning & coordination centre, which India plans to establish along the lines of existing facilities in the UK, US, China and Iran.
