Innovative Service Launched on Occasion of Digtial Week by C-DAC :e-Hastakshar eBasta

“e-Hastakshar” is C-DAC’s On-line Digital Signing Service,  offer an on-line platform to citizens for signing of their documents securely in a legally acceptable form, under the Indian IT Act 2000 and various rules and regulations therein. It will enable citizens with valid Aadhaar ID and registered mobile number to carryout digital signing of their documents on-line.  With this service, it is possible to replace hand written signature by electronic signature, which can be put in documents in electronic form. It will allow citizens to sign documents electronically, thereby saving their time and effort. As a provider of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) and eSign services, C-DAC shall play the role of a Certifying Authority (CA) under the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA). The digital certificate offered by C-DAC CA through the eSign service to the applicant is for one-time signing usage and shall be of class "Aadhaar-eKYC-OTP".C-DAC utilizes the service of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for on-line e-authentication and Aadhaar eKYC Service.  As a provider of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) and eSign services, C-DAC plays the role of a Certifying Authority (CA) under the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA).
A citizen can use this service having Aadhar card, via Web interface https://esign.cdac.in/AspInterface/
Apart from this user can use Windows based Desktop application also

e-Basta

 “eBasta” is a framework developed by C-DAC to make the school books accessible in digital form as e-books, which can be read and used on tablets and laptops. The framework, implemented as a portal, brings together three classes of stakeholders: Publishers, who can publish their resources on the portal for use by the schools.Schools, in the form of authorized school teachers, who can browse, select and compile their choice of resources from this pool, as class-wise bastas.Students, who can then download their respective bastas from the portal, or the school
The “eBasta” portal is designed with many rich features including the facility to assign a unique name to each created basta; make bastas downloadable either for free or at a tagged price; payment mechanism for charged contents; assigning access privileges to the contents; etc. More details are available at http://www.ebast
